About This Project

The Comenius FIAM (From Industry to Art and Museums) project involves three partner schools from Lens in France, Brannenburg in Germnay and Malta. The three participants are involved in the effective development, implementation and dissemination of project activities, including the development of this website, which allows participating school staff and students to include their input and recount their experiences in relation to the project itself.

A number of staff and students are being selected to travel to each participating country. During these visits, both staff and students participate in activities related to the project, while at the same time getting exposure to each countries culture, traditions and museums. At each project meeting, those involved will also be introduced to the hosts’ language and will experience and, possibly learn, new words and sentences. Evaluations of project progress and sharing of Ideas and experiences will also occur during these meetings. Communication networks will be created both during these meetings as well as via the use of ICT facilities. Indeed, the design and creation of this website, developed in its entirety by an Interactive Media student from Malta, was purposely thought out for this purpose.

The FIAM project was designed to guarantee students’ involvement in all aspects, including the planning, implementation and evaluation of project activities. Each participating country will organize creative activities, such as art workshops, in relation to a specific museum within their region. This will allow students to be exposed to the country’s artistic heritage. Through this website, our intention is to document the visits and the activities organized by each participating country. We will also be uploading material such as photos, videos and presentations prepared by students and/or staff. This will help us both to communicate (also with the use of the blog within the website) as well as to disseminate more broadly our experiences.
